Our beloved husband and father peacefully returned to his Heavenly Father on Thursday, December 2, 2004 with his wife at his side. As an answer to their prayers and his faith, Brent was blessed to remain with his family over a year beyond the expectation of doctors. He endured faithfully to the end of the 20-month battle with pancreatic cancer. A heartfelt thanks is sent to the doctors and assistants who provided him loving care at Lakeview, U of U Rochester MAYO Clinic, and St. Marks hospitals.

Naval Academy at Annapolis. Hemarried Lois Elaine Arrowsmith on August 30, 1968 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple, though a drunk driver took Elaine's life a few months later on March 30, 1969.

He served an LDS mission to Germany from 1969 to 1971, becoming an Assistant to the President. He married Beverly Schenck, daughter of Melna and Charles Schenck, of Roy, Utah, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Brent was an active and valiant member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints all of his life. He loved the gospel with all of his heart and served in many callings, including the Stake High Council at age 32.

Brent graduated with honors from Weber State in 1974 and then from Utah State in 1986.
