Michael Wesley Floyd Moore - Class Of 1996

WEST VALLEY CITY-Michael Wesley Floyd Moore, age 21, passed away 6:06 a.m. on March 22, 1999 at the University of Utah Hospital of complications due to Acute Leukemia. He was born November 28, 1977 in Mountain Home, Arkansas, the son of Kenneth Floyd and Pamela A. (Michael J.) Moore. He graduated from Clearfield High School, where he was the Student Body Historian. He was the founder and first president of the Writer's Club and was active in high school drama. He was interested in poetry, art and was an accomplished dancer. He was formerly employed at SPS in Layton and was most recently employed as a payment processor for Novus/Discover Card and a customer service representative for the Newspaper Agency Corp. Surviving are his parents, Pamela A. and Michael J. Moore, Clearfield; his father, Kenneth Floyd of Mountain Home, AR; six brothers and sisters, Elder Benjamin Virlow Moore, serving a mision in the Philippines; Beverly (Steven A.) Sanderson, San Antonio, TX, Jason, Saugus, CA; Erin Nicole, Emily RaNae, and Stephen Andrew, all of Clearfield; his grandparents, Woody and Ernie Faw, Cotter, AR; Robert and Dorothy Floyd, Mountain Home, AR; Terry Kees, San Diego, CA; George and Billie Moore, El Cajon, CA; and his many loving friends and relatives. He was preceded in death by a sister, Rachael Christine Moore. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, March 26, 1999 at the Clearfield 10th Ward, 300 West 250 North. Friends and family may call Thursday, 6-8 p.m. at the Lindquist Clearfield Mortuary, 1050 So. State State and Friday, 12:30-1:45 p.m. at the Church. Interment, Clearfield City Cemetery.
