Annette Janis Mitchell (Dickamore Jensen Rule)

Annette Janis Mitchell Dickamore Jensen Rule

Annette Janis (Mitchell Dickamore Jensen) Rule passed away peacefully February 5, 2014 at the age of 69 in Jefferson City, Missouri. Annette was born to LeRoy and Lenora (Campbell) Mitchell in Ogden, Utah on January 3, 1945, and spent her childhood living in Clinton, Utah. After marrying Allen (Dickamore) Jensen on April 3, 1965, and bearing three children – Tamara (Jensen) Thomas, Paul Jensen and Michael Jensen, she moved to southern Arizona with her family, where she spent the majority of her life. Her last child, Troy Jensen was born while living in Cochise County, Arizona. All of her children and 11 grandchildren are living in Utah, Washington and Alaska. While in Tucson, Arizona, Annette worked for the Tucson Unified School District, eventually retiring as Principal's Secretary at Sabino High School. Her organizational skills, polite etiquette and genuine empathy were so highly valued, that her supervisors sought to keep Annette near them throughout their careers. To her, work was not a just a job, but an opportunity to care for and inspire others. Indeed this was her desire always – to bring happiness to any situation as best she could. Many lives were touched by Annette's wonderful and caring soul. In 1991 Annette married William "Bill" Rule, and had many years of hikes and celebrations; her happiest moments were preparing for and celebrating the holidays – especially Christmas, as her faith made that holiday most special to her. Bill and Annette retired to Jefferson City, Missouri in 2007, building a beautiful home for their retirement. Unfortunately, after completing the home, Annette developed cancer. She fought with remarkable grace, optimism and lack of complaint - leaving a remarkable example for all she knew. A truly wonderful ray of light to all she knew, she will be greatly missed but fondly remembered. She was preceded in death by her father, LeRoy; mother, Lenora and older brother, Larry M. Mitchell. She is survived by her husband, Bill Rule and his daughter, Stephanie (Hank) Ellis; her siblings, Gene (Carol) Mitchell, Margy (Wayne) Warner, Don (Nola) Mitchell and Lee Mitchell; her loving children, Tammy (Matt) Thomas, Paul (Elisabeth) Jensen, Michael (Heather) Jensen and Troy (Mandy) Jensen; 11 grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and her former husband, Allen Jensen. Her Funeral will be held in Jefferson City, Missouri at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 8, 2014, with friends received beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the LDS Chapel, 4618 Henwick Lane, Jefferson City, Missouri. Her burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, February 10, 2014 at the Missouri National Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, Missouri. Rest in peace, dear Sister, Mother, Grandmother, Wife and Friend.
