Gayla was born on September 4, 1945, in Brigham City, UT to Delbert and Glaia Nelson. In 1964, at the age of 18, Gayla met the love of her life and best friend, Blaine J. Schofield. Her family was her pride and joy and she was often described as MAMA BEAR! The way she preferred to spend the majority of her time was with the love of her life, doing ANYTHING, even the simplest things, as long as they were together!
