Blair, Tanya Babette Stucki September 6, 1945 November 5, 2012 Tanya Babette Stucki Blair, 67, passed away on the evening of Monday, November 5, 2012. Born in Ogden, Utah, to Alvin and Barbara Stucki, she was an accomplished dancer and pianist and graduated valedictorian of her class at Clearfield High. She went on to study at the University of Utah, and in 1965 was the first runner up for Ms. Utah. She met her husband, Ron Blair, in 1964. He proposed on their third date, then left for an overseas assignment in the Air Force, returning a year later just before their marriage at Hill Air Force Base. They then moved to Tokyo where he served for five years, during which time they appeared in advertising campaigns for several large hotels. Tanya continued to model upon their return to the United States. In 1972, she opened the Tanya Blair Agency in Dallas, Texas, which became a driving force in the Dallas fashion market into the 1990s. They raised their three children in the Park Cities area of Dallas until moving to College Station in 2003. In 2005, they moved to Snook, Texas, and opened an art gallery, where they lived until her death. She was a loving sister, wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her father, Alvin Stucki; mother, Barbara Taylor Stucki; and brother, Laurrence Stucki. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, John and Katherine Blair of Austin, Texas; daughters and sons-in-law, Alexandra and Jeffrey Bates of Vienna, Va, December and Richard Hunt of Spring, Texas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Manfried Stucki and Shirley Curfman of Los Angeles, CA, Mishell and Loretta Stucki of Salisbury, MD, Kellie Stucki of Alexandria, Va.; sister and brother-in-law, Gina Stucki and Peter McDonald of Currumbin, Australia; eight grandchildren; and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. A family memorial service will be held in the spring of 2013 in Salt Lake City, Utah. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Tanya's name to the Susan G. Komen Foundation .
