In Memory

Sally "Jean" Warren (Garner) - Class Of 1967

Sally Jean Garner was born on September 14, 1949 in Provo, Utah and passed away on January 22, 2015 in Yakima, Washington at the age of 65. Sally, who went by her middle name Jean, was the daughter of Norris and Reta Warren of Clearfield, Utah.

Jean loved reading books, porcelain dolls, bears, eagles, the color yellow, and anything to do with her grandchildren and her grandpa, David Warren, whom she loved and adored dearly. Jean also enjoyed the great outdoors which made her family trips from Utah to Mount Saint Helens, every other summer, more enjoyable. On July 6, 1967 Jean married the love of her life Bruce Garner and together they had 4 children. Their journey in life together had them living in Utah, Idaho, Oregon and finally settling in Washington.

Jean was only 2 pounds 15 ½ ounces when she was born and proved to be a real fighter from the start to the finish. Jean had a loving and caring heart and throughout her whole life she never asked why, instead she counted her blessings.

Jean is survived by her loving husband of 47 years Bruce Garner of Yakima, her two sons: Michael (Amanda) Garner and their three children Colton, Madison, and Brooklyn of Nampa, Idaho and James (Jennifer) Garner and their three children Jered, Jessica and Jordan of Wapato; her two daughters: Nicole (Norm) Mallonee and their two daughters Ashley and Valarie of Burns, Oregon and Maria (Mark) Shaffer and their daughter Asiah of Great Falls, Montana; her brother Gary (Sally) Warren of Brigham City, Utah and numerous brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends. Jean was preceded in death by her loving parents Norris and Reta Warren.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to help the family with final expenses.

Viewing will be held Friday, January 30, 2015 from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Keith & Keith Funeral Home.
Viewing will also be held Saturday morning from 9:00 – 10:00 a.m. with a Funeral Service starting at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints at 4307 Englewood Avenue in Yakima, followed by burial at Tahoma Cemetery.
