In Memory

Lona (Chris) Christine Brennan (Kulinsky) - Class Of 1973

Our beloved wife, mother and nana passed away peacefully on June 3, 2015 in Salt Lake City, Utah after a valiant battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia with her loving family by her side.

She was born February 13, 1955 in Ogden, Utah to Garth V. and Jenniece Hamblin Cash. She was born the third of six children. She married Paul Thomas Brennan on March 18, 1978 in Ogden, Utah. They were married for 28 wonderful years, until Paul passed away from cancer on October 20, 2006. Chris was a graduate of Clearfield High School in 1973. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Cindy Hobson Lange.

Chris retired from the Internal Revenue Service in 2011, after over 25 years of service. She married James "Jimmy" Kulinsky on May 21, 2010 and moved shortly thereafter to Kemmerer, Wyoming. She was employed part-time with the U.S. Postal Service in Diamondville, Wyoming, where she met many great friends. She and Jimmy enjoyed hunting for antiques in the hills.

Chris adored her family and her grandchildren and took great pride in being a loving nana. She had an extremely generous soul and regularly donated her time to charitable causes. She had many outlets of creativity including sewing, stitching, crafting, knitting, quilting and crocheting. Chris was renowned for her contagious laugh, warm smile, sense of humor, and outgoing personality. She always made sure that each grandchild felt like one-of-a-kind.

She is survived by her spouse; her daughters Nicole (Eric) Evans and Rachel (Matthew) Durrant; 5 grandchildren, Abigail, Brennan, Madelyn, Jaycee and Asher; four siblings, Vickie, Clay, Penny and Brandy; her canine companions, Jefferson and Rowdy; and many kind family members and friends.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at the Ogden City Cemetery, 1875 Monroe Blvd. A visitation will be held from 10:30 to 12:30 p.m. prior to service at Myers Ogden Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd.

In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Huntsman Cancer Institute (donate.huntsmancancer.org) was Chris' last request. Please also consider becoming a bone marrow donor at bethematch.org.

The family expresses their deepest gratitude to the amazing healthcare providers at the Huntsman Cancer Institute for their tender care. They are particularly thankful for the compassionate, selfless service of the Bone Marrow Transplant unit and the anonymous donor who extended Chris' life for many more treasured days.
