Steven Jerry Ellsworth - Class Of 1973

Steven Jerry Ellsworth, 60, went on his last high adventure Tuesday, July 14, 2015.

He was born in Ogden, UT on July 10, 1955 to Jerry and Lois Martin Ellsworth. He grew up in Sunset, UT, developing lifelong friendships and graduated from Clearfield High in 1973.

On March 17, 1975, Steve married Roxan Willie in Elko, NV.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

He was an avid, high adventure hunter and fisherman up until his physical health made it impossible to continue.

He retired from Tooele Army Depot as a pipefitter/welder. He enjoyed more high adventures while driving long haul semis for several years until he retired completely to take care of his grandchildren, who were the greatest joy in his life. Grandpa Steve was their number one fan and supporter, attending, cheering, offering encouragement and advice at their ball games, tumbling events, dance recitals and motorcycle hill climbs.

Steve is survived by his wife, Roxan; one son, Jesse (Jenny), West Haven; one daughter, Jennifer (Jason) Geisler; Farr West; five grandchildren, McClayne, Max, Chauncey, Brinley, Hailee; his parents, Jerry and Lois; father-in-law Rand Willie and two brothers, Stan (Jeanette) Ellsworth and Wade (Pat) Ellsworth. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, June and Thora Martin and John and Betty Ellsworth and his mother-in-law, Anna R. Willie.

The family will meet with friends Sunday, jULY 19, 2015 from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South.
