Jay Dee Bingham - Class Of 1993

Our loving Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother, and Friend, Jay Dee Bingham, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family, Tuesday, August 25, 2015, after a lengthy battle with Multiple System Atrophy (MSA) and Parkinson's disease, and lung cancer.

He was born in Ogden, Utah on June 24, 1954 to Eugene and Faye Bingham. He lived in West Point, Utah most of his life.

On July 18, 1974, he married his high school sweetheart, Sue Arlene Strong in West Point. They celebrated 41 years this year. They enjoyed fishing and boating at Flaming Gorge, many trips to Yellowstone and Tetons as well as the high Uintahs. He graduated from Clearfield High school in 1973. He retired in 2009 from Ashland Chemical Company. Most of his work life involved construction.

He was a loving man, devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a jack of all trades and so talented in many things. He loved hunting and fishing with his nephews, grandchildren and family. He was an avid Utah JAZZ and Green Bay Packer fan. He loved his dog MAX, and MAX will miss him.

He is survived by his wife, Sue Bingham; daughters, Audree Wildrick and Jalee Bingham; his five grandchildren, Trevor Van Fleet, Bryan, Briene, LaLa and Boone; his brothers, Ron (Shirley) Bingham, Wes (Cindy) Bingham, and Darrel (Sandra) Bingham; and four sisters, Neta (Robert Hamblin), Colleen Postel, LaNett (Rocky) Draper, and June (Ed) Bingham, as well as the many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Faye Bingham; and a sister, Connie.

A viewing will be held at West Point 17th Ward, 855 North 4000 West in West Point, Utah on Monday, August 31 from 10 to noon. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. at the West Point cemetery, 3200 West 300 North, West Point, Utah.

The family wishes to thank Dr. Jason Stinnett and staff of Utah Cancer Specialists, Dr. David Shprecher and Meaghan Zorn Of University of Utah Neurology, Dr. Mark Lenthe, and to the wonderful nurses and staff of Legacy Hospice and Healthcare, the Urology Team of University of Utah, and for the many friends and family of the West Point 17th Ward, and many loving and thoughtful and supporting neighbors of West Point.
