Darwin Edward Thompson - Class Of 1979

Darwin Thompson passed away Nov 13, 2015 following a short illness in Ogden Utah. He was born Sept 3, 1961 to Melvin J Thompson and Lois Mardell Short in Ogden. He grew up in Clearfield and attended North Davis Jr. High and Clearfield High School.

Darwin worked as a mechanic most of his adult life. He could fix anything with a motor. He especially enjoyed restoring Corvettes. He loved camping, boating and being out on his Harley.

Darwin is the father of four amazing children; Brandon Thompson (JoAnne), Erika Michaelson (Jordan), Cheyan Goeser (Cody) and Skyler Thompson. He also has four grandchildren; McKenzie Thompson, Kaedynce Thompson, Kicen Thompson, and Tuck Brennan. His children loved him very much and took great care of him during his illness.

Darwin is survived by his father Mel (Shanna), his children and grandchildren, his brothers Douglas Thompson, Dennis Thompson (Gwen), and Duane Thompson (Alice), and his sisters Susan May (Darrel) and Sally Bennett (Tim). He is also survived by his step-father Louis James (Jim) Zogmaister, and four step-brothers Darrow Zogmaister, Tom Zogmaister, John Zogmaister, and David Zogmaister. He was preceded in death by his mother Lois Zogmaister and his grandparents.

The family would like to thank Portneuf Medical Center, Encompass Hospice, and Washington Terrace Center for their care of Darwin during his illness.

A private memorial service for the family will be held at a later date
