In Memory

Sharon Post (Anderson) - Class Of 1967

Sharon Post Anderson was born in Enid, Oklahoma to Hallie Ora Heath Post and Chester Merchant Post. She is survived by her brother Joe C. Post and his wife (Connie Yeoman Post) of Eagle, Idaho along with their children, Michael Brandon Post and his wife (Mitzi Baker Post) of Spanish Fork, Utah and their three daughters; Nicole Post Ray and her husband (Rustin Ray) of Meridian, Idaho and their three sons and two daughters; Stephen Cody Post and his wife (Kami Call Post) and their daughter and two sons of Middleton, Idaho; Kenna Jo Post Howell and her husband (Marc Howell) and their two daughters of Boise, Idaho. Sharon passed away from natural causes incident to leukemia at her home in South Jordan City. Sharon was preceded in death by her father in September 1965 and her mother in June 1993.
Sharon’s father was in the United States Air Force and as such, had the opportunity to live in many places and developed friendships in many far away places. Sharon’s father was stationed at Eglin Air Force Base in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. During that period the family endured a major hurricane that required them to temporarily relocate to a building that was guaranteed to survive the most severe storms to assault the Florida Gulf Coast.
Sharon’s father, who was an avid sportsman, retired from active duty and moved their family to Davis County in northern Utah. Sharon, in her usual gregarious fashion, made many friends at this new location. She attended elementary school in Sunset, Utah; Junior High School and High School in Clearfield, Utah where she graduated in 1967 with high honors. She attended college at Weber State College in Ogden, Utah. She discovered she had a penchant for organizational skills and other talents that made her highly valued in the work world. She worked for a number of Fortune 500 companies, one of which she spent many years with, Phillips Petroleum Co. before health issues forced her into an early retirement.
Sharon was baptized into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in 1968. We are confident that she is enjoying a wonderful reunion with her parents and other family members that have passed through the veil. We, her family, are extremely grateful for her association with Karen Livingston and the friendship Karen so freely shared with her. Words cannot fully express the gratitude we have for the love that has been so abundantly shared with our dear sister and aunt by the Glenmoor 2nd Ward.
A service will be held Tuesday, April 5, 11 AM at the Glenmoor 2nd Ward on 9455 S. 4800 W. South Jordan, Utah. www.broomheadfuneralhome.com

I am so sad on hearing of another classmate's passing.  Sharon was such a sweet and pretty girl and fun to be around.  I have known her since Junior High.

I am sure she is rejoicing in her new journey.

Extremely saddened by the news of Sharon's passing.  We lived close and spent many days together as kids.  She will be missed!
