Ralph Leroy Staples, 69, passed away in his home on Tuesday, August 4, 2015, surrounded by his loving family.

He was a wonderful husband, father & grandfather. He had a kind heart and a contagious laugh. His family was his world & we all knew it. 

He served nearly five years in the United States Army & was a decorated Vietnam Veteran.

Ralph is survived by his children, Diane (Chris) Mantooth, Michael (Lurena) Colledge, Elisa (John) Coones, Teresa (Carl) Quick, Patricia (David) Bouton, Ralph (Janna) Staples, Jr., Richard Staples, Ray Staples, Tammy Staples, and Boyd (Sierra) Staples; 19 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.  He is also survived by his brothers, John Staples Jr, Barton Roberts, and Stephen Roberts; and his sister, LeAnne Jones; plus many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Janet Staples; daughter Maria Staples; his mother, Wilhelmina Elizabeth Roberts; father, Boyd Roberts; and sister, Julie Staples.

Ralph was a strong man & his family will miss him dearly, but he will be forever in our hearts.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 10, 2015 at Lindquist’s Bountiful Mortuary, 727 North 400 East.  Friends may visit family on Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary.  Interment, Redwood Memorial Cemetery.
