“MY STORY ISN’T OVER YET”

Emily Ann Barney Overdiek, 39 Of Ogden, Utah Passed away after a long and hard struggle with addiction and mental illness.

Emily was born July 5, 1978 to Gary and Gayle Barney, She graduated from Clearfield High in 1996 and attended Weber State College.

She married Brandon Mikulich in 1998. They were later divorced. She recently married Kyle Overdiek.

Emily worked at IRS for 13 years. Her greatest love was her two children Jaiden and Lynnsei.

She loved creative writing, collecting quote and books, and gardening. She loved to watch movies, take pictures of the sky, try new hairstyles and Reese’s Fast Break bars.

She is survived by her children, Jaiden and Lynnsei, her husband, her parents, her siblings: Sarah (Dylan) Wood, Sunny (Eric) Anderson, Omar, Akeem, Eliza (Jaden) Roskelley, Grandparents: Darrell and LaRue King, two nieces and many Aunts, Uncles and Cousins.

She was welcomed home by her sister Jenny, Her grandparents: Alfred and Carol Barney and “Grandma Great Hartley”.

We believe that Emily is finally at peace and can now be all the things she always wanted “TO BE”.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, July 17, 2017, at 11:00 a.m., at Clinton 2nd Ward Chapel, 2141 West 1800 North, Clinton, Utah. A viewing for family and friends will be held on Sunday, July 16, 2017 from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m., at Myers Roy Mortuary, 5865 South 1900 West, Roy, Utah, and on Monday from 9:30 - 10:30 a.m., prior to services at the church.

Interment in West Point Cemetery.
