John Zundel - Class Of 1965

John Zundel, 70, passed away on Monday, April 2 of natural causes. John was born June 14, 1947 in Ogden, Utah to Hazel and Wallace Zundel.  He graduated from Clearfield High School in 1965 and Weber State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in History.

John enjoyed golfing, watching sports, and spending time with family, especially his grandchildren, and was a proud tribal member of the Northwestern Shoshone of Washakie, Utah.

John is survived by his daughters:  Wendy (Robert) Martin, San Marcos, CA; Amber (Anthony) Farinha, San Mateo, CA; and Katherine (Justin) Smith, Ogden UT; and grandchildren:  Hailey and Taylor Martin, and Olivia and Matthew Farinha.

 He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family wishes to thank Ann Gross, Darren Parry, Cale Worley and the Northwestern Shoshone tribe for their love and support.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Dennis DeDecker (1965)

John was a wonderful friend ever since the "Moonlight Gamblers" little league team.  He was a terrific football and baseball player and he helped me in so many ways.  May God Bless you John.

Paul Beech (1965)

John was a good friend in School and later on in life...After school we played a lot of softball together in local leagues, we traveled to a lot of out of state tournaments and went to Rock Island Illinois to the ISC World Series and in the ASA we went to many regional tournaments in Utah and Colorado...RIP my friend and condolences to his family....
