Ronnie Love Carver Birth: 13 July 1946 Roxboro, Person County, North Carolina Death: 25 Dec 1986 Ogden, Weber County, Utah Ronnie was the son of Paul Washington Carver Jr. and Bernice L. Wagner Carver. He was married and divorced, and was educated in Davis County schools. Ronnie served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He worked many years for Smith's warehouse in Layton, but his passion and love was owning/operating the Horizon Bar (previously The Unicorn) in Ogden. Ronnie was proud to be proprietor of the only gay bar north of Salt Lake. Ronnie enjoyed cooking, art, and carpentry. He was an outstanding tavern-keep, and a warm, protective friend who went out of his way to help others. At the time of his passing, Ronnie was survived by his mother, one daughter, his grandmother Margaret Hayes, three brothers, two sisters, and his partner, Dallas Larsen, who has since passed.
