RE: CHS Chatter 1963-1966 Posted Tuesday, April 20, 2010 12:58 PM These people aren't shy Mike. We've done this before...just not in this web location. So lets see what happens. I can tell from various comments in profiles that most people in my class have a little bit to say about something. I wasn't aware of the email feature in profiles (and addresses are constantly changing). I did see a "private message" feature, but it looked to me like email addresses were under wraps. Can you shed any more light on that? No need I can see to mess with someone's personal email if they can post comments right here without subjecting their email address to to someone's spam list. There are some key individuals who do have email addresses ( I am not one of them): Steven Barlow, Michael McBride, Mark Zaugg, and others. If you know them, you might mention putting out a Forum invite via email. Uncle John D. |

RE: CHS Chatter 1963-1966 Posted Thursday, April 22, 2010 03:35 PM This Saturday (April 24) is Coach Grant's Football Team Reunion in Clearfield. I'm sure there are many who would enjoy being there but can't make it or don't know about it. For those of us who met the guy in 1961, either as football coach or in history class...and wondered what we were in for...we can appreciate the full meaning and pleasure of participating if at all possible. Mike and John, I think because this is a new website and people are a little leary about using any site because of security and for spam reasons. And there are so many site wanting donations and besides what every else they try to attach to your software people are a little apprehensive.
John you say there are some key individuals who do have email addresses (I am not one of them): Steven Barlow, Michael McBride, Mark Zaugg, and others. I contacted Mike McBride and he wouldn’t give out any personal information, Steve is on a mission and Mark didn’t have any contact information.
I finally talked To Sandy Jensen/Egbert, Frank Mower, Jeff Flint and Ron McCall they helped me a lot contacting the class of 63 football players. Pat freestone/Grousta and she had a list for class of 64 and Mary Jones/Rutledge had the Class of 66 information. And I like to Thank Danny & Nancy Gardiner for providing the facility were the reunion will be held...Thanks to all of you!
It sure would have been nice if more were registered on this sight I have contacted everyone registered and mike sent out the announcement to everyone registered. It’s to bad some or Clearfield High would have started up a site like this many years ago. Especially a way of keeping up with the contact information changing! Thanks Mike
Under Coach Grant’s request we decided just to open up the reunion to Football players only because of the numbers and Space available.
When I went through the year book and got the names of everyone that coach Grant coached including Football, Wrestling and Track it was about ¾ of each class not counting the class room students.
For everyone’s information we have contacted 80 players and have 57 planning on attending and 9 maybes. It has taken me over three months of emailing and phone calls contacting all the players and I’m still missing about 20 players.
