Gary will be remembered for his quick wit, humor, teaching and loving people. His boisterous voice and personality left a roomful of people laughing and feeling at ease. He never had a hard time talking to people and his humor would lighten the mood of any situation.

He incorporated these talents into a career which touched thousands of lives. He worked for the LDS Church Education System for 36 years, teaching seminary and institute. Of all of Gary’s “titles” the ones he treasured the most were husband, father and grandpa. Gary cherished his family and made family time his top priority. Each grandchild felt he/she was his favorite. If it was important to his family, it was important to him.

Above all, Gary felt a great love for his Savior Jesus Christ and lived each day trying to be like Him. Even in his final days, he continued to teach his family about the importance of following Jesus Christ to find true happiness.
