Pfc. Danny E. Hyde, 20, of Sunset, died Oct. 21, 1966 at the 85^th Evacuation Hospital in Viet Nam of injuries received Oct. 10 in a mine field accident. Pfc. Hyde was serving with the U.S. Army First Cavalry Air Mobile Unit.

   He was born May 15, 1946 in Swan Lake, Idaho, a son of Wilson E. and Melba Denney Hyde. He was a priest in the Sunset LDS Third Ward.

   He enlisted in the Army in Nov. 1965 and had been in Viet Nam since May 1966. Interment Fort Douglas Post Cemetery, Salt Lake City.
