
Specialist 4 Allen Dawan Udink, of The United States Army, died from injuries sustained from a booby trap in The Republic Of South Vietnam on December 29, 1971. He came home only to die a few months later due to his injuries. His name has been added to The Vietnam War Memorial (The Wall.) He was born on January 28, 1947 and his hometown was Sunset City, Utah.

I knew Allen. He was a good kid. I lost track of him after high school, and was saddened when I heard on the news that he had been injured in Vietnam, then passed away at home. Too many good men died for Vietnam, but I respect Allen for his character and for performing his duty. I hope he and his family are at peace.

I remember Allen, He was in some of my classes during our years at CHS. He was a really nice person, and I am so sorry for his family's loss.
