Gary Anderson (Beach) - Class Of 1971

Gary C. Anderson, 62, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, October 21, 2015 after an amazing weekend of hunting with family and friends at his home away from home in Henry, Idaho.

Gary was born August 31, 1953 in Ogden, Utah to Raymond and Wilma (Meadows) Anderson. He was born and raised on the exciting street of Lakeview Drive in Clearfield, where he made many lifelong friends.

On September 13, 1974 he married his “hot brunette” Sherry Kannegiesser.

Gary loved all sports, but especially baseball and was a devoted lifelong fan of the New York Yankees. He was an avid hunter and hunted all his life, finally getting his big 6 point bull elk just days before his passing. He traveled yearly with his wife to the national parks, taking hundreds of beautiful pictures. He loved throwing amazing super bowl parties every year that were overflowing with family and friends. He had the best witty, sarcastic humor and consistently entertained us all with his humorous Facebook posts and comments.

Gary “Poppy” is survived by his wife, Sherry, of 41 years; daughters, Heidi (Adam) White and Jamie (Matt) Langston; five grandchildren Dylan (Dude), Oakley (Pretty Girl), Jace (Mini Dude), Blayke and Braxton; three brothers, Tim Anderson, Larry Anderson and Dennis Anderson. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Dan Anderson and Ronnie Andersen.

Please come help us celebrate his life on Monday, October 26, 2015 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Roy Mortuary, 3333 West 5600 South. The family will meet with friends prior to the service, from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. on Monday, at the mortuary. Please wear Yankee’s baseball or hunting attire to honor his love of both. “No fancy dress” unless you want smart-ass comments sent to you from above. Anyone wearing Boston Red Sox attire may be chased off the property.
