MaryLynn Clifford (Kessler) - Class Of 1964

Mary Lynn Clifford Kessler passed away peacefully at her home Feb. 20, 2007 surrounded by her family after a courageous battle with cancer. Mary Lynn was born June 17, 1946 to Jack and Elna Clifford in Clinton.

Mary Lynn competed in many beauty pageants where she was crowned Utah’s Dairy Princess. When she was crowned the Electrical Engineering Queen at the University of Utah, she met her future husband Dene Joseph Kesler, who was judging the contest. Mary Lynn and Dene were married June 12, 1967 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.

Mary Lynn was completely devoted to her family. She enjoyed multiple family trips to Lake Powell each year with Dene and the kids. She spent countless hours knitting sweaters, cross-stitching pictures and tying quilts for her family. Nothing was too much work or too much money if it would help her children.

As her kids grew up, she was thrilled that each child found a wonderful spouse, and her happiness was completed by her 11 grandchildren.

For many years Mary Lynn worked at Silver Mesa Elementary School and later, Jordan Credit Union.

   Interment Salt Lake City Cemetery.
