Faye Wood (Moore) - Class Of 1968

Faye Wood Moore, 68, of Wake Forest, passed away on December 30, 2017 after a brave battle with cancer. Faye was born to Kenneth Wood and Jennette Parker Wood in Ogden, Utah, December 16, 1949 and lived her youth in Clinton, Utah.  She attended Clinton Elementary School, Sunset Junior High, and graduated from Clearfield High School in June 1968. She attended Weber State University for 2 years, where she met her husband, Dennis, and they were married in the Salt Lake LDS Temple on June 3, 1971. They have lived in Kaysville, Utah; St. Charles, Missouri; and settled in the Raleigh, North Carolina area where they have lived for 33 years.  Faye has served in various callings in her church, many which were musically related.  She enjoyed singing in the ward choir, playing piano in the Primary, scrapbooking, and being with her wonderful family and friends whom she considered her greatest blessings.  Faye served as a temple worker in the Raleigh LDS Temple, as an addiction-recovery specialist, and she served a mission in the Raleigh, NC LDS mission office. Faye was also active in community affairs; she served as the President of the NC Chapter of American Mothers and was a participant in the Wake County Republican Women’s Club.

Preceding Faye in death is her father Kenneth Wood, her mother-in-law Shirley Moore, and a nephew Daniel Montgomery.  Faye leaves behind her dear husband Dennis Lynn Moore of Wake Forest, daughter Jennifer (Brian) Laws of Wake Forest, son Brett (Heather) Moore of Bluffdale, Utah, daughter Trisha Moore of Wake Forest, son Scott (Kim) Moore of Raleigh, NC and 15 beautiful grandchildren: Dallin, McKell, Carter and Chandler Laws; Chase, Brooklyn, Austin, Kaden and Savannah Moore; Tristan and Jessica Bailey; Landon Parrish; and Kelsey, Allyson and Ryan Moore. She is also survived by her mother, Jennette Wood, as well as 3 sisters, Marianne Amundson, Kathy (Ted) Dodge, and Lynne (Bill) Elliott, and a brother Dale K. (Julie) Wood.
