Mostly I will miss the time in the CHS teachers' lounge in those years that I taught with you. You took a very young teacher (and former student) under your wing and helped me, with your wisdom and humor, to grow into the teaching profession. I will be forever grateful.
Mrs. Lake was my College Prep teacher and got me ready to write those papers I would need in college. It worked. I had an ACT high enough to pass through the easy stuff and Mrs. Lake's teaching got me through to an Associate's degree, a Bachelor's degree and is what I mainly leaned on to finally earn my Master's in education at age 49. Everyone is a lifelong learner. Thanks Mrs. Lake.
