Pat died 15 Aug 1994 of Kidney Cancer. She started complaining in 1990, but the Drs all said it was in her head or it was just female problems. In Jan 1992 I (her husband Arthur Nielsen ) blew up at the Drs and they said they would start over again. In less than 3 hours they called and asked us to immediately return to the Drs office. We were informed she had a tumor on her left kidney that was larger than a cantaloupe. The Drs went back to the original X-rays and found a spot no larger than an "O" on this computer keyboard. They said the radioligst had missed it. At that time we were informed that Kidney Cancer was 92% fatal. She went through surgeries, chemo, radiation, experimental drugs and etc. The last 4 months were terrible but she never gave up until the final moment. During this time she continued to take ART classes at Weber, supported our kids in everything possible, picked her burial plot, wrote her own obituary, and tried to find me another wife. That last item was really heart breaking and funny. She was buried in the Kaysville City cemetary. The three things I have taken from Pats death is never give up, life is short and (for women especially) do Not trust Drs concerning what you say is wrong and they do not believe it.
Patricia Hill, married her high school sweetheart, Art Nielsen September 14, 1966, and the marriage was solemnized on May 13, 1968, in the Logan, UT Temple.
They were blessed with four children, that he said accounted for their gray hair.
