Steve McCain - Class Of 1968

Steven R. McCain, 45 left his family and friends Friday, Nov. 10, 1995 at McKay Dee Hospital, due to a brain aneurysm.

He was born June 4, 1950 in Ogden, Utah to Walt and Evelyn McCain.

He graduated from Clearfield High School in 1968. He then served with the Army in Vietnam from 1968 to 1970. He was employed at HAFB as an aircraft refueler from 1970 until retirement in 1988. He then served as a recreational aide in Okinawa Japan for two years. At the time of his death he was working at HAFB.

He married Karen Irwin and they were later divorced. He then married Annalee Schroader (also from the Clearfield High School Class of 1968) on July 3, 1978.

He is survived by his parents, his grandfather, Clifford “Pop” McCain; one sister Susan Clark; two children Zack McCain, Lacy McCain; two step-children, Kenneth Weller, Nichole Weller; three grandchildren, Daxton, Ashlee and Caleb James; two step-grandchildren, Camille and Brandon.

Steve loved to play with his grand-kids whenever he had the chance. He also loved to spend his spare time skiing, hunting, scuba diving, bike riding and being with family and friends. He will be missed, but never forgotten.

His body was donated to the University of Utah Medical Center for medical research.
