In Memory

Levy Snow - Class Of 1968

James Levy Snow burst upon the scene, March 7, 1950 in Price, Utah joining his older brothers Willie and Tom and his sister Sue.

Levy was a charmer from the get-go, a bright eyed blonde little boy with a huge smile.

He grew up in Clearfield, Utah where he invaded Wasatch Elementary, as only an all-boy boy can do (breaking several bones in the process). His next target was North Davis Jr. High where school came easy and he had many friends to join in his good times. He was Student Body President, (later confiding that it was scary to lead the assemblies). On to Clearfield High where he played tennis and baseball, flirted with girls, made good grades and drove his little TR3.

After High School came Weber State College and the Air Force Reserves , which required his hair to be shorter than he thought was "cool" so he had a short wig for Reserve Days and his own hair the rest of the time.

He made his career with the IRS in Ogden and took on the job of being a "grown-up", getting married to Sherry Staker  and having a son , Cade. He was later divorced and married Cindy Staton, sadly divorce followed and life got harder. He had a large boat on Flaming Gorge to which he loved to escape; to fish and frolic. Over the years lifes' struggles and challenges consumed him and he found his own release.

When you remember someone, it means that you have carried something of who they are with you. They have left an impression, a mark that remains through many years and distant miles. Even after death, you can still see a face, hear a voice and speak to each other in your heart. We may be at a loss to truly explain the man that Levy became but we should always remember his spirit, his intelligence, his fierce independence, his quirks and his playfulness. And so, we leave the past behind and in return gain a bright, free and shining star.

Levy died June 18, 1994. He was buried on June 20th in the
Sunset Memorial Cemetery.
