Susan Youngfield (Arbaugh) - Class Of 1968

Susan Youngfield Arbaugh, 53, of Missoula MT, passed away at home Friday August 8, 2003 after an extended struggle with cancer.

Susan was born February 18, 1950, in Ogden UT, to Harold and Mary Youngfield.  She was raised in Ogden and attended Clearfield High School.

She met her soon-to-be-husband Larry Arbaugh at Hill Air Force Base and they were married on Valentine's Day in 1970 in Jerome ID.

The first year of their life together was spent in Alaska at King Salmon Air Force Base. They then moved to Denver CO, where they lived for a year and a half.  In the fall of 1972 they moved to Missoula and bought land in Stevensville where they built their unique and beautiful home.  In the 25 years in their Stevensville home, Susan's passion was decorating her home, working in the garden, tending her fish pond, flowers, and fruit trees, and taking care of her cats, dog, goats and horse.  Larry and Susan then moved back to Missoula in the spring of 2002.

Susan is survived by her husband of 33 years, Larry Arbaugh of Missoula; parents Harold and Mary Youngfield, Syracuse UT; sisters and brothers, Becky Youngfield of Durango CO, Debbie Youngfield, Clearfield UT, Douglas Youngfield of Kingman AZ, Brent Youngfield, Westpoint UT, and Lisa Leroy of Hesperia CA.

Services were held on Tuesday August 12, 2003, at the LDS Church on the corner of Middle Burnt Fork and Main Street, and burial was at Sunnyside Cemetery, both in Stevensville MT.
