Michael Eugene Peasley - Class Of 1988

10/18/69 - 01/19/05

Michael Eugene Peaslee, after a lifetime of physical hardship, passed away with grace on January 19, 2005, with his mother and father holding his hand. He was 35 years old. Michael was born in Salt Lake City on October 18, 1969, to Robert and Marla Peaslee. Despite health challenges and handicaps, he graduated from Clearfield High in 1988 and worked for PARC for well over a decade. During those years at PARC, he performed all kinds of duties in places ranging from the Hill Air History Museum to the Freeport Center. But, no matter the job or location, there was always one constant - his ability to make friends with his coworkers. A number of those friendships continued long after working together had stopped. Michael was generous with his friends, too; he listened often and without complaint, and gave wholeheartedly when he sensed even a hint of need. At home, he found joy in front of a screen, whether that was watching one of his many movi es or surfing the internet. But his real pleasure in life was time with his family, going to the Cineplex with his dad, teasing his mom, and playing with his dog. Surviving family includes his mother and father; brothers Kevin Peaslee of Salt Lake City, Utah, and David Peaslee of Dexter, Oregon; sister Lyn Cautrell of Springfield, Oregon; as well as many caring cousins, nephews and nieces, aunts and uncles, and his ever-faithful dog Katie. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 24, 2005 at 11 a.m. at Lindquist's Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road. Friends and family may call Sunday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Monday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist's Layton Memorial Park, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
