Mr. Belnap was an excellent teacher who will always be remembered for his caring patience in teaching students those life skills that would keep on mattering no matter where their careers take them.

So sorry to hear of his passing.

I had a very special relationship with "Mr. Belnap", as I was a president of VICA and also very involved in the electronics classes he taught.  In fact, he influenced me so positively that I went on to earn an Electrical Engineering degree at BYU, and I have often thought of him throughout my life and my career.  Most of what I remember was not what he taught me in electronics and other skills, but what he taught me about life and especially, the importance of character in all I do.  I remember one sign he had posted that said "With every privilege comes a Responsibility", and he had other messages posted in his classrooms which were there to help us kids realize that we would soon be adults and that what we did, and what we were, would be of great importance.  He had more personal influence over me than any other teacher at CHS.  I am glad to see that he had a long life; I am sure all who knew him thought as highly of him as I still do.  Godspeed, "Mr. Belnap".  And thank you for going the extra mile with me - you gave my life meaning when I was in a very bad place.
