Matthew David Steele, 37, beloved son of Dave and Sharon Nauta Steele passed away August 13, 2016. Born March 19, 1979, he was the 4th of 7 children.

He was active in the LDS church and loved his Heavenly Father.  At the age of 11 he was honored as youth of the year by the Trappers Loop BSA Council. As a child, Matt was a gifted piano player and loved sports.  He graduated from Clearfield High School in 1997.

With a keen mind and industrious character, he started work projects at age 11, developing skills that led him to numerous construction and supervisory positions.  He was particularly proud of his completed projects at Ft.  Hood, Texas and HAFB, Utah, receiving letters of commendation for his accomplishments.  He had a deep love for his country.

Matt enjoyed building rockets and excelled in modifying and upgrading computers. He was a master marksman, and he loved to cook.

He married Crystal Wallick.  Together they had one son, Ace David Steele.  They later divorced but remained good friends in the nurture of their child.

He was a wonderful father to his children, Ace, Gracie, and Jayden.

Matt will be remembered as a friend who gave with no desire to get anything in return.  His kind and loving heart set him apart among men, and he will be greatly missed.
