Our friend Richard Briggs passed away in June 1971 as a result of a motorcycle accident in Ogden, Utah. He had just completed his Masters Degree in Engineering at Utah State University and was engaged to be married. We miss him greatly.
Richard and I were friends starting in Jr. High and I wish he were still here today because his younger brother Dean is married to my younger sister Robyn.
My husband, Jay Stuart, and I were living in Syracuse at the time. I remember that I was so stunned that this could have happened to Richard. I thought that he was such a nice person. I often think of those who passed away too soon.
Richard was one of a kind. We dated for a time after we both graduated from high school and I was both saddened and shocked that someone so full of fun and life could be gone. Big loss to this world.
