Kathleen Tingey (Claytor) - Class Of 1963

Kathleen (Kathy) Elaine Claytor lost her battle with cancer on January 11, 2019. She died peacefully in her home surrounded by her immediate family.

Kathy was born in Ogden, Utah on August 17, 1945. She attended Clearfield High School and graduated in 1963. During her high school years, she enjoyed taking care of her younger brother and sisters and loved expressing herself through poetry. After graduating, she went to work at Hill Air Force Base in administrative security.

During her time there, she met and married Maurice Claytor, who was enlisted in the US Air Force. They had three children together and were married for 53 years. Kathy spent most of her time working on her crafts for her business KC's Craft Corner, traveling with her husband and enjoying her grandchildren.

Kathy is preceded in death by her parents George and Caroline Tingey and five sisters Marie, Carol, Georgia, Eleanor and Elaine. She is survived by her husband Maurice, her three children Annette Seaberry, Sherrie (Steve) Roberts, and Kenneth (Heather) Claytor. She is also survived by her siblings Ronald Tingey, Sherilyn (Dennis) DeDecker, and Randy (Robin) Tingey. She has five grandchildren, Eric Seaberry, Fallon Roberts, Jacob and Lauren Claytor and Rachael Mantsch.

A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Mike Morse officiating at Charles W. Smith & Sons Funeral Home located on 4323 Lake Rd. Lavon, Texas. Please join the family for visitation and refreshments immediately following the service.
