Scott William Arrington - Class Of 1969

Scott William Arrington passed away April 12, 2016 peacefully in his home surrounded by loved ones. He was born February 2, 1951 to Cammon Tuckfield and Dorine Gibbs Arrington.  He grew up in Clinton, Utah and graduated from Clearfield High School. Scott served an LDS mission from 1970 to 1972 in the California North mission.  On May 31, 1973 Scott married the love of his life, Judy Lynn Barnes, in the Ogden Temple.  They loved nothing more than just being together.

Scott graduated from Weber State with a BS in Computer Science in 1982.  He worked for the Defense Logistics Agency at the Defense Depot and then Hill Air Force Base from 1980 to 2006 when he retired early as complications to diabetes arose.

Scott was active in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings including ward and stake missionary, bishopric, stake clerk and scout leader.

Scott is survived by his wife, Judy; five children: Lynnette (Randy Johnson) of Santaquin, Carrie (Sam Owen) of Layton, David (Tiffany) of Grand Ledge, MI, Jared (Kassia) of Ogden, and Jonathan (Sara) of West Point; 14 grandchildren; four brothers: Robert (Cheryl) of Clinton, Craig (Mary) of Syracuse, Mark (Donetta) of Heber City, and Kent (Michele) currently serving a mission in Conception, Chile; and three sisters: Diane (Loren Walker) of Willard, Lisa (Dan Osmond) of Farr West, and Janet of Syracuse.  Scott was preceded in death by his father, mother, and father-in-law.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 11 am at the LDS chapel located at 590 W Antelope Drive, Layton. Viewings will be held Friday, April 15, 2016 from 6 pm to 8 pm at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N Fairfield Road, Layton and Saturday from 9:30 am to 10:30 am prior to the service at the church.  Interment, Lindquist’s Washington Heights Memorial Park, 4500 Washington Blvd., Ogden.
