Robert Carlyle Eggett 1976-2012

After a sustained battle with brain cancer, Robert C. Eggett passed away on Thursday, July 5, 2012 at his Northern Utah home surrounded by his young family. Robert was born September 13, 1976 in Salt Lake City. He graduated from Clearfield High School and attended Snow College for a short time before marrying his sweetheart, Ingrid K. Miller on February 28, 1995. They were sealed in the Jordan River Temple on June 7, 1996. After marrying, they moved to Cincinnati, Ohio where they stayed for a short time before moving to the Kirtland, Ohio area where they lived for three years then moved to Palmyra, New York. It was while living in Palmyra that Bob was first diagnosed with cancer.

As Bob grew up he was surrounded by music and he played the trombone. He learned to care for plants and enjoyed improving the landscaping around his home. He was an active member of the LDS church and served in the Sunday School and Elders' Quorum presidencies. He was employed in sales and eventually returned to LDS Business College in Utah where he graduated with honors in Business Management.

Bob is survived by his wife and six children, Carmody, Cumorah, Keziah, Noehren, Salecah, and Jhoryan. He is also survived by his father, Robert M. Eggett (Centerville) and mother, Laura Decker (Clearfield), brothers Michael (Britney) Eggett (N. Ogden), Paul (Kaitlin) Searle (Clearfield), Daniel Decker (Clearfield), and Nathaniel (Tanner) Decker (Logan).

A Celebration for "Mr. Bob's" Life will be held on Monday July 9, from 2 to 5 at the Washington Terrace LDS Church, 300 W 4800 S. Private burial services were held previously at the Ogden City Cemetery. The family requests no flowers please.

The family wishes to extend a special thanks to Access Hospice for their dedicated time and attention and to the "Anything for a Friend" organization for their support to the family and to the many friends, neighbors, and ward members who have shown unconditional love and compassion during the past few months.
