May 23, 1965 - December 11, 2014

Brent Paul Hampton, 49, much loved son, brother, uncle and friend, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on Thursday, December 11, 2014.

He was born on May 23, 1965 to Richard Paul “R.P” and Pat Green Hampton in Ogden, Utah. He graduated from Clearfield High School. He attended Weber State College and graduated from Utah State University with a B.S in Electrical Engineering, which was a great achievement for him.

Brent has worked at various places including Hercules, Thiokol, and Northrop Grumman. At the time of his death, he was a driver for Davis Behavioral Health. He took great pride and enjoyed this position.

Brent loved snowmobiling at Monte Cristo, boating at Lake Powell and Bear Lake, going to Wendover for his “vacation, or a trip with his friend Jim to get lottery tickets. Brent also appreciated being with family and friends and other things that many people often take for granted.

He is survived by his mom, Pat Hampton, his sisters, Kathy (Brett) Park and children Carson and Kimberly, and Sandy (Craig) Jones and children Aubrey, Hunter and Logan. He also leaves behind his special companion, Clarissa Barta, and their two special cats, Kai and Chance.

A Celebration of Brent’s Life will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at 2:00 pm at Leavitt’s Mortuary 836-36th Street, Ogden. Friends may visit with family on Saturday from 6:00-8:00 pm and Sunday from 12:00-1:45 pm prior to the Celebration.
