In Memory

Chera Lyn Baird - Class Of 1986

Chera Lyn Baird

Chera passed away on March 18, 2015 due to complications of heart disease.

Chera was born on a beautiful fall morning on September 25, 1967 to C. Bruce Baird and Joan Waggoner in Ogden, UT.  She grew up in Clearfield graduating from Clearfield High School in 1986.

A shy child, Chera was always smiling and very tenderhearted. When her siblings were upset, she’d cry with them. If somebody fell down and skinned their knee she would cry with them or if somebody was happy she was elated to share their joy.  The thought of somebody writing a tribute to her would cause her incredible embarrassment. She loved little children, nieces, nephews, and grandparents. She always felt an intense need to see that everybody else’s needs were satisfied before her own. She never wanted anybody punished even if the offense was against her.

Recently she was attending Ogden/Weber Applied Technology College working for a certificate in House Design. She had just finished her Electrical Wiring Class and was really proud of what she was learning.

At the time she passed away she had been living with her beloved aunt Karen Baird who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents:  Roy and Opal Waggoner, Alice and Clarence Baird and her father. She is survived by her mother and stepfather Bill and Joan Wade; brothers, Brett (Londalee) Baird, Tom (Sally) Dalton; sisters, Kelly (Danny) Price, Alisa (Rhett) Rivera; nieces and nephew Sydney, Cody, Miranda, Chelsee, Breanna, Brooklyn, and Charlie, her aunt Karen Baird and other loving aunts and uncles and numerous cousins.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the First United Methodist Church, 1339 West 400 North, Marriott-Slaterville, Utah at 2:00 pm on Friday, March 27, 2015, where a viewing will be held one hour prior to services at the church.
