Gary Leon Murray - Class Of 1965

Gary Leon Murray

November 12, 1946 - April 5, 2017

It is with sadness we report the loss of our dear brother, Gary Murray, due to a massive stroke on April 2, 2017.  He was born November 12, 1946 in Richmond, Utah to Leon Thorpe Murray and Anna Margene Eliason Murray.  He lived in Richmond until the age of 5 when the family moved to Ogden to be close to his dad’s employment.  The family moved to South Weber and Gary attended Clearfield High School.  Gary enlisted in the Army and was stationed in Korea and Germany.  He worked at Flying J for many years and in security for Northern Utah Protection.  He was friendly and loved by all.  He took pride in his surroundings and had an immaculate home and car.  We are saddened by his death, but know the joy he must now have, being reunited with his parents.  Gary had some very special friends who meant so much to him namely:  Bob, Walt, Linda, Kathleen and Dan, thank you.  A big thank you also to those who gave Gary such good care at McKay Dee Hospital in ICU on the 5th floor.

Gary leaves behind his sister, Frances Murray Danco, Paradise; Patricia (Steve) Craythorne, Roy; and Dennis (Heidi) Murray, his brother, West Valley.

Rest in peace our dear brother, you will always be in our hearts.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date.
