She graduated from Clearfield High School in 1988.

She enjoyed spending time in the yard tending to her garden and planting flowers. She loved the harvest season, when she could use her fresh vegetables in her homemade dinners. Shopping was another hobby on the long list of things she was great at. She would often bring her family home new clothing she knew they would love. Heidi lived for going on motorcycle trips with her husband. For their yearly anniversary vacation, her favorite place to ride to with her husband was Yellowstone National Park and Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

Heidi is survived by her husband Brett Thomas, her parents Beth Ann Peer, Chris Peer and Collett Ratcliffe, her children Robert Burns, Jessica Burns, Eric Burns, Jaden Thomas, Kierra Thomas, Cidney Maughn, her brothers Allan (Rebel) Smith, Peter (Elizabeth) Smith, and Matthew Smith, her grandmother Ione Ross and their beloved family dog Pebbles.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather Ali Ross and her father-in-law John Ratcliffe.

A tremendous amount of people loved Heidi. She worked at J&J Nursery for 16 years, and she provided expert advice to many customers. Her customers gave her nicknames such as “The Plant Guru.”  Her knowledge and love for plants will be greatly missed. Before she was the assistant retail manager for J&J she was a wonderful stay at home mother. Her boundless energy allowed her to care for her children, cook, and keep a well maintained home. Her kids meant the world to her.
