In Memory

Artist Leon Clark Jr. - Class Of 1969

Born October 22, 1951, to Artist and Caroline Clark in Ogden, UT.

His time with us passed on February 10, 2018, where he returned to the loving embrace of his parents, family and friends, that are loved and missed daily.

He grew up in several places but called Utah home, after graduating from Clearfield High. After high school, he enlisted the U.S. Army, serving two tours in the Vietnam war. After returning home, he married Linda "Kaye" Brewer (Garcia) of CO; where they had four children: Cara Clark, Alex (Jennifer) Clark, Amber Gill and Ryan (Anna) Clark, all of UT. They later divorced.

After spending a lot of troubled years in Utah, he decided it was time for a change and headed to Cheyenne, WY. He spent the rest of his life there, with the last 25 years married to Marjorie Clark, with whom he gained four more children: Bridget (Travis) Tanner of UT; Barry Lopez, Eric (Jenae) Lopez and Aaron (Kim) Lopez, all of CO; with countless grandkids and great-grandkids; he loved and cherished each one. He is also survived by his sister, Donna Simpson, of Layton.

While living in Wyoming, he was employed at the Post Office, retiring after 24 years of service. He loved his dogs very much. He was an avid outdoorsman where he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, golfing, softball and spent many years as an umpire with Little League baseball.

He always showed respect, courtesy, and shared a laugh. He lived his life with good music, good humor, strong shoulders and a loving heart.

It's so hard to say "goodbye" to such a presence,

the hole you leave behind will never be filled

but knowing that you are spreading your joy

with our loved ones helps.

Love you daddy, grandpa (grouch), husband,

uncle, brother, cousin and friend.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your local VA.

There will be a back-yard BBQ in his honor June 16, 2018.

Time: 15:30 (3:30).

Place: 1425 Douglas St., Ogden, UT 84404.
