Michael Blaine Arave, 59, a native of Clearfield, Utah, died at McKay Dee Hospital due to complications from lung cancer. He served in the U.S. Marines and was discharged in 1976. Mike was a rodeo cowboy since childhood and gained fame as a bull rider. Mike worked in the oil fields in Montana and in construction in Utah. He lived cowboy principles of honor, loyalty and courage and is known for: Pride in work; getting the job done; being tough and fair; keeping promises; talking less and saying more; being compassionate with people and animals.

Mike loved his grandchildren, Brook and Dionicio as well as his step-daughter, Monica and her partner, Brian. Mike went to sleep in Jesus, August 14, 2017, and he heard the call of the Life Giver. Mike was preceded in death by parents, Blaine Orville Arave and Elizabeth Ann Qualls. He is survived by his cowgirl, Teresa Martinez; step-daughter, Monica (Brian); and his siblings, Steve (Sidney) and Tamara.
