Ryan Sorensen - Class Of 2003

Ryan Sorensen

Ryan was born on March 19th, 1985 and passed away on June 24th, 2026 at the age of 41

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Ryan David Sorensen, on June 24, 2026. Born March 19, 1985, in Tremonton, UT, Ryan spent most of his 41 years entertaining those close to him in Syracuse, Utah. He also spent short, meaningful time living with family in Arizona and Kansas.

Music was one of his greatest loves. Metal was the soundtrack of his life, and he could often be found listening to his favorite bands and sharing music with his favorite people. Getting a text message from Ryan with a YouTube link was always an adventure! His knowledge, appreciation, and passion for metal music was unmistakable.

Ryan was fiercely loyal to the Detroit Lions and Arizona Diamondbacks. Through every season he remained hopeful, enthusiastic, and proud to cheer on his teams even though they were both mostly terrible. Sundays during football season were often spent watching the game, celebrating victories (which weren’t many), and never giving up on either team.

More than his hobbies, Ryan will be remembered for his kind heart, sense of humor, loyalty, and the love he shared with family and friends. Throughout his adult life, Ryan dedicated his career to supporting adults with disabilities. He approached his work with compassion, patience, and genuine respect, making a meaningful difference in the lives of those he served. He loved to take his clients fishing, shopping, and on many other adventures. He always had a tender heart for those who were often overlooked by others. He believed in treating every person with dignity and kindness. His work was more than a career—it was a reflection of the generous and caring person he was.

Ryan had a way of making people laugh, offering support when it was needed, and creating memories that will be cherished forever. We miss him so much!

Ryan is survived by his parents, Tom and Sue Sorensen, and siblings Linda (Scott) Hadley, Lori (Justin) Frew, and Scott (Paige) Sorensen. He is proceeded in death by his grandparents Harvey Schmidt, JoAnn and Harold Ross, and Gene and Mary Kay Sorensen. Ryan's spirit, humor, and love will remain forever etched in their hearts and in those of everyone whose life he touched.

A viewing will be held from 9:30-10:30 am on June 30, 2026. It will be held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints located at 2228 S. 1660 W. Syracuse, UT. 84075. A celebration of Ryan's life will then be held after, at 11:00 am MDT at Syracuse City Cemetery, 1250 South 1000 West, Syracuse, Utah, 84075. Family, friends, and loved ones are invited to gather, share stories, and honor a life filled with passion, laughter, music, and love. Ryan will be deeply missed, and his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. We encourage you to share your memories and upload photos of Ryan to his memorial page, celebrating the love and laughter he brought to our lives.

We love you forever, Ryan David Sorensen Goofy Frog Legs Go Go Train!!!
