Patricio “Pat” Gilberto Gutierrez passed away peacefully on September 15, 2026, following a stroke, at the age of 54.

Pat was born in Santa Ana, California, on December 9, 1971, to Patricio and Adelina Gutierrez. He was raised in West Point, Utah, where he attended Clearfield High School and graduated with the Class of 1990.

Although he may not always have been one to express his feelings openly, Pat had a generous heart and a special kindness toward animals. He was known for his giving spirit and the soft spot he held for every animal in need. His compassion and unique personality left a lasting impression on those who knew and loved him.

Pat is survived by his mother, Adelina Ramirez (Ventura); his two sisters, Eva (Brett) Monroe and Estefana (Oscar) Ulloa; his three nieces, Lexus, Tash, and Aspen; and seven great-nieces and great-nephews, with another little one on the way. He also held an extra-special place in his heart for his stepson, Christian Wells, from a previous marriage.

Pat was preceded in death by his grandparents, Patricio and Clotilde Gutierrez; his father, Patricio Leroy Gutierrez; and his beloved son, Patricio Jay “PJ” Gutierrez.

Pat will be remembered by his family, friends, and all who knew him for his unique spirit, generous heart, and compassion for animals. He especially loved his Raiders and proudly followed his team through every season, win or lose. Football Sundays were something he truly looked forward to and enjoyed. His love of the Raiders was simply a part of who he was and will be fondly remembered by those who knew him. He will be deeply missed by all whose lives he touched.

May he rest in peace, reunited with PJ and free from pain.

The family sincerely thanks the nurses, doctors, and staff at McKay-Dee Hospital for the care and compassion they provided to Pat.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Aaron’s Mortuary, 1050 State St., Clearfield, UT 84015.

Friends may visit with the family on Monday, September 21, 2026, from 6:00–8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday, September 22, from 10:00-10:30 a.m., prior to the service, at the mortuary.
