It's been an interesting adventure. During high school if someone would have told me that I would have 9 kids I would have told them they were nuts! Now I can't imagine my life without all of them. It makes our lives so full.
Wow, here it is 8 1/2 years later and all the nasty chemical weapons that were stored here in Utah are now gone. But that also means my job is gone so I'm looking for my next adventure!
Did you know that Utah had the largest stockpile of chemical weapons in the world? Not something you really want to be known as #1 for. But we are now stockpile free!
I was laid off from the Chem Demil plant October 18th, 2013 and now I get to start the next chapter in my life on December 16th, 2013. I've worked in the 9-1-1 arena off and on through out my career and now I'm going back into that area.
Life changes and moves on. Will add details later.
The new chapter has been an adventure! I thought I had jobs lined up to go forward but all 3 of them fell through in less that 2 weeks! Two of the companies I'd been in talks with did massive layoffs and the other decided to go in another direction! I put myself available on three of the job sites and the next day I got calls! Two of them were jobs that were healthy 6 figure jobs but would require us to relocate. With 3 kids still in HS I didn't want to upset that part of their lives so I opted for the 3rd job, the one I have now because it allows me to stay here and my kids are not uprooted. It's been an interesting job and not too bad. It is about 1/3 of my highest offer but we are still here. Our baby graduates in 2017 so maybe then we can look at other opportunities.
