Mr. Holt taught me Algebra out of the Holt math book. I was in his class the day and time I learned at North Davis Hight that Ronald Reagan got shot. I even opened the back roll up door on Saturday for a produce pick up at Winegars's Warehouse in Sunset and it was Mr. Holt delivering fresh corn.
Mr. Holt was an awesome teacher. Linda Waters and I used to have to much fun in his class. We had him laughing all the time. Don't know how I ever passed his class. I guess that just shows what a great teacher he was. My sister Cindy McBride Gibbs also had him for a teacher. When he saw her name he said "OH no, you're not Cathy's sister are you?" Poor thing, judged right from the start. Sorry Sis. LOL Mr. Holt will be greatly missed. He was a wonderful example to all of us.
